Kio3 Potassium Iodate KI03 is pronounced: Kay-Eye-Oh-Three
If there is a “nuclear event, ” and you are down-wind, you need to take KIO3 or KI before the radioactive plume reaches you. If you do not have KI03 or KI at the time of the event, then it is most likely too late to take a thyroid blocker unless the authorities can reach you with the proper dose during fallout conditions.
Both KI03 and KI are thyroid blockers and are used worldwide to help prevent radioactive damage to the thyroid in the event of a nuclear incident. If a nuclear bomb detonates or a nuclear power plant is compromised or has a melt-down, then radioactive iodine is always released into the air and environment.
Please note: KIO3 is FDA approved, while a number of studies link KI with cancer.
Clinical Reports and Other Evidence Detailing the Benefits of KIO3 and the Dangers of Potassium Iodide
- KIO3 Found Effective, with Superior Shelf-Life

- Study #3 KI – potassium iodide – as a cancer causing agent
KIo3 protects the thyroid
Radioactive Iodine [I-131] can destroy the thyroid of humans and animals. Even small amounts of I-131 can cause cancer of the thyroid. By taking KI03, the thyroid becomes saturated with “good iodine” and cannot absorb the “bad iodine” I-131. Yes, animals or pets can take KI03, too.
How much should I take?
Adults – Usually one bottle per adult person is recommended. Adults and children – If there are several small children in your care [under 12 years old at the time of the emergency] then, at least one bottle per two children will be enough. KI03 on Wikipedia – KI03 is Potassium Iodate and is used worldwide in bread making, iodized salt and thyroid blockade in case of nuclear disasters. For more information on Potassium Iodate
NOTE: Potassium Iodate is for EMERGENCY USE ONLY. This is bought and stored and used ONLY in an emergency situation such as during a nuclear disaster, such as war, terrorism, a nuclear melt-down or radioactive spill, when great amounts of radioactive iodine [I-131] are often released into the atmosphere. Taking Potassium Iodide or Potassium Iodate pills can protect against radioactive poisoning by “filling” the thyroid with this harmless substance for a period of time; long enough to allow the dangerous radioactive iodine to be “blocked” [not be absorbed], and then naturally dissipate from the area. Up to 99% of all radiation induced thyroid damage can be prevented by taking Potassium Iodide pills. Potassium Iodate is a superior form of Potassium Iodade [KI] because of its extended shelf life and lack of bitter taste. The extra molecule of oxygen in Potassium Iodate [KI03] can guarantee the Iodate’s continued freshness without added stabilizers. The Potassium Iodate we offer is a 170mg tablet, 60 tablets to a bottle. It should be kept sealed, dry and out of reach of children. If unopened, it should be effective for decades. — Take only if directed by authorities or radioactive fallout is imminent!
